For 15 years these peonies have always bloomed white in the front yard of the home.  Last year, I noticed two buds forming with a pink casing on the bud.  I was aware how my mind was in so much denial and I kept saying to myself, "well the casing must just look pink before they bloom in white".  I kept walking by them each day observing and watching what color they were actually going to bloom.  Sure enough, they bloomed this luscious pink delight.  I found this phenomenon so interesting and wanted to write about how powerful the mind is in my own healing journey.  It reminds me how that despite the deep work I am doing on a daily basis to heal myself, uncover stuck traumas, feelings and patterns, that underneath all of the rich soil, there are many things occurring that are not visible or showing up differently in the outer appearances.  A reminder to myself that healing is occurring despite the out picturing.  I feel that this was such a huge blessing and magical gift that occurred. This new year, they did it again and even more bloomed!  This phenomenon also gives me HOPE as a reminder that anything can happen based on my recent hospitalization and surviving against all odds!
